"If I go to heaven when I'm still a kid, will I stay that way?"

This is a question that as a bible teacher, I have heard a lot!

God made all things to grow. Nothing remains young, not even people. Just as puppies become dogs, kittens turn into cats, so will all kids become God's young people, grown-ups in heaven! 

But growing up in the new earth won't be filled with fear, or even a hint of pain! All children will have loving parents. Every girl and boy will feel safe in that land. 
There is one kind of growing that won't affect the citizens of God's kingdom. In heaven, no one will ever grow old. 

"All the treasures of the universe will be opened to the study of God's redeemed. Unfettered by mortality, they wing their tireless flight to worlds afar . . . . With  unutterable delight the children of earth enter into the joy and the wisdom of un-fallen beings . . . . With undimmed vision, they gaze upon the glory of creation."
(The Great Controversy, pg. 677) 

The best thing about heaven, is there is no more, death or crying or mourning or pain, those things will be gone forever, death will be dead!
Although we will grow up, we'll always enjoy the loving intimacy of belonging to a family, the family of God! But this time there will be no more goodbyes. In heaven, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins will always be there to smile at us, play with us and walk by our sides, and so will Jesus! Growing up in heaven will be a joyful and satisfying experience. 

I can't wait for that day, can YOU?

Everything bad will be gone forever!
